On a United flight from SFO to Austin, everything was normal until shortly after the climb out.

Then without warning, Fast ‘N Loud came on and I... I just... couldn’t look away. It was horrible! Oh, the humanity!

My problem is more with the show than the builds or the work. It's not necessarily their faults, but the fake drama etc wears on me. I used to watch it for the cars but I can barely stand it now.

The last time I flew (into AUS, interestingly), I flew on a factory-fresh B737-900. It still had that new plane smell, and it also had free TV in the seats. I passed the flight watching Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee . Best flight ever.

Best, somewhat recent, United in flight entertainment disaster. Flying SFO-IAD, delayed for some mechanical something or other...not even that long, like an hour on the tarmac or something, but they comped the DirecTV in-flight stuff so everyone’s little headrest screens were active. For whatever reason they defaulted to the channel where they had ‘Gone Girl’ playing. I’m dozed off in my flight cocoon when suddenly commotion! Turns out that movie is...um...not ‘G rated’ (don’t know, wasn’t watching) and this lady is flipping out because her snowflakes are being surrounded by an edited R-rated movie. Good times.
